The Bier Bag can be placed where the barrel would normally sit. The beer connector is screwed on easily and without any problems. Vertical series connections are easy to do. Next, a pneumatic Flojet pump is attached, which sucks the beer out of the bag and pumps it on to the carbonator. In the Anker Beer Carbonator the beer is enriched with CO2 to the desired concentration, e.g. 6.0 g/l.
- A proportional valve ensures the right dose is used
- The CO2 is added into the beer under high pressure.
- The internal pressure in the Carbonator is reduced to the normal level for barrel beer.
The Carbonator is connected to a commonly used CO2 bottle, that is already present in every bar or catering establishment. The ready to pour beer leaves the Carbonator at about 2.5 bar and ends up at the dispensing tap through the usual dispensing pipeline.
Pouring
The proof is the poured result. The quality of beer is constant, because there is no longer any over-carbonation of beer in the barrel. After broaching the beer stays fresh for longer. Because the beer is only sucked out of the bags when it is going to be poured and not exposed to a CO2 atmosphere, ther are basically no biological problems. The stability of the head is even better because of the carefully controlled mixing of the CO2
